Supplier Selection and Evaluation
At Walrus Pump, we extend our commitment to sustainability across our entire supply chain. Our comprehensive, four-stage supplier management process ensures responsible sourcing and adherence to environmental and social standards. The stages include: (1) market research, (2) self-assessment questionnaires, (3) on-site factory visits, and (4) final commitment signing. In 2024, we added 14 new suppliers and contractors who fully met our environmental and social responsibility requirements.

Strategic Supplier Management
Walrus Pump upholds the highest ethical standards by enforcing strict internal compliance rules and actively promoting anti corruption and integrity practices externally. In the course of operations, we do not engage in any conduct that violates these principles, and we neither offer, request, promise, nor accept improper benefits. To improve the efficiency and accuracy of supplier management, we classify suppliers into three categories—key, procurement, and outsourced production—based on factors such as risk profile, product or material characteristics, and purchase value. This classification allows us to develop targeted management strategies tailored to each group. In 2024, Walrus Pump worked with 246 suppliers. The signing rate for the Supplier Integrity Pledge was 81.03% across all suppliers, and 100% among key suppliers. For the third consecutive year, procurement from local suppliers in Taiwan accounted for over 90% of our total purchases.

Supplier Performance Appraisal
Walrus Pump evaluates supplier performance using three key metrics: quality, delivery punctuality, and cooperation. All suppliers are assessed in accordance with our Supplier Evaluation Operation Standards, which include both internal assessments and on-site audits. Key suppliers undergo audits twice annually. In 2024, with pandemic-related disruptions easing and the industry stabilizing, we achieved a 100% completion rate for both internal assessments and onsite audits for all applicable suppliers. On a grading scale from A to D, the average score was an impressive 82.48 (Grade B).

Win-Win Relationships with Suppliers
Walrus Pump is committed to building mutually beneficial partnerships with our suppliers, fostering an environment where both parties can thrive. Beyond providing legal training and outreach to help suppliers mitigate regulatory and corruption risks, we offer coaching and workshops on process improvement, yield enhancement, and other strategic initiatives to support supplier growth and innovation. In 2024, we held 101 training sessions to ensure the effective use of our supplier platform and to facilitate timely, accurate order delivery. We remain committed to continually enhancing the platform—such as optimizing drawing settings—to maintain efficient and effective communication channels with our suppliers.
