Occupational Health and Safety Training
To ensure the safety and health of all employees, Walrus Pump regularly organizes general and specialized occupational injury prevention training for first-aid staff, occupational health and safety (OHS) supervisors, and special equipment operators. In 2024, the Company conducted 19 internal and external occupational safety courses and drills, totaling 322 training hours with 212 participants. In addition, to ensure the occupational safety of non-employee personnel—such as security staff, cleaning staff, and interior renovation workers— Walrus Pump has established a Hazard Notification for Workers Entering the Factory Premises to inform contractors of potential hazards they may encounter and the precautions they should take.

Occupational Safety and Health Management System
Walrus Pump's Occupational Safety and Health Committee holds monthly occupational safety meetings, usually at the end of each month. These meetings serve as a communication platform linking safety systems across different sites. Discussions cover issues such as that month's incidents and 6S inspection results, with a focus on followup actions and improvements. In the event of a major incident, a consolidated investigation report is prepared and promptly communicated to all employees.
In compliance with the Regulations on Occupational Safety and Health Management, Walrus Pump is required to establish an occupational safety and health management system. The Company plans to introduce the ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems in 2025 and aims to obtain third-party certification by 2027. Before ISO 45001 is implemented, the Company continues to identify and mitigate hazard risks and develop proactive prevention measures. Examples include:
- Partnering with occupational medicine physicians to determine job suitability, assess and manage high-risk workers, and prevent work-related illnesses.
- Requiring and providing occupational safety training for suppliers entering the factory premises.
- Enhancing occupational safety and health for both employees and suppliers.

Occupational Health Promotion and Service Initiatives
To safeguard employees' physical and mental well-being, Walrus Pump employed full-time occupational health specialists in 2024 to advance disease prevention and health promotion measures. The Company also conducts health examinations, health lectures, and labor health service programs, including occupational disease prevention and occupational accident consulting. Additionally, we organize on-site consultations on hazard identification, workplace risk management, health management, the four major protection programs required by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, occupational injury prevention, health promotion plans, and first aid contingency plans.
