Innovative R&D Process

Once a project is initiated, R&D teams collaborate on design, prototyping, and small-batch trial production. Throughout the process, we adhere to our guiding product concept: "Stable, Quiet, and Energy-Saving." The product verification phase includes comprehensive testing of pump performance, energy efficiency, and noise levels. Small-scale trial production further optimizes performance and manufacturing efficiency before scaling up to full production, which proceeds only after review and approval.

Quality Assurance - Pump Dynamic Laboratory

In response to the Taiwanese government's 2012 update of CNS 14400 regulations—prompting greater market attention to the environmental performance of motors, particularly energy efficiency— Walrus Pump promptly established dedicated Production Technology and Product Verification Departments and set up the Pump Dynamic Laboratory. This initiative demonstrates our commitment to developing high-efficiency motors fully compatible with pump applications and to continually enhancing product performance in line with global trends and regulatory requirements. Supported by the joint efforts of supervisors from four departments and nearly NT$1 million in costs, the Pump Dynamic Laboratory has remained in continuous operation since its establishment. In 2015, it achieved a key milestone by obtaining ISO/IEC 17025 test laboratory certification from both the Taiwan Accreditation Foundation (TAF) and TÜV NORD Taiwan—certifications it continues to maintain. This makes it one of the very few laboratories in Taiwan's pump industry accredited for both pump and motor testing, underscoring our professionalism and commitment to quality.
In addition to internal product testing, the laboratory also accepts external testing commissions. In 2024, it successfully completed 790 pump tests and 49 motor tests for external clients, generating NT$7.447 million in economic benefit.

High Added-Value Through Technological Advantages

The excellent workability of these engineering plastics enables efficient injection molding without secondary processing, cutting lead times from 4–6 months to just 4–6 days. The result is lower production costs and faster delivery. In line with the growing importance of digitalization, we are integrating IoT cloud-based intelligent monitoring into our pumps. This technology enhances the water usage experience and showcases the breadth of our technological advantages.
